Rate: $40-70/HR
Our client is an international oil and gas trading/marketing company with Canadian operations based in downtown Calgary. Due to growth, there is a need to add a HR Analyst to the team. This role reports to the Director, HR, and will start as a 3-6-month contract with the possibility to extend or go permanent.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide support for Human Resources policies, programs and initiatives. Specific duties include:
- Manage the HR department functions and activities, including advisory, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, policy administration, employee relations and retention.
- Cultivate positive culture through communications, activities and other initiatives as appropriate, including employee communications, membership in Social Committee and other ways to promote and build a positive culture.
- Maintain HR systems/data bases, records, personnel files and job postings, ensuring compliance and integrity. Utilizes and expands usage of HR systems as appropriate.
- Coordinate all payroll administration, employee benefits and savings plan administration.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and on-boarding processes with key stakeholders and managers.
- Coordinate training and development programs for all staff
- Other projects, as directed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 2-8 years of experience in a Human Resources
- Completion or near completion of HR professional designation (CPHR) considered an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills and with dealing with various stakeholders
- Ability to work proactively, collaboratively and independently in a fast paced and team-oriented work environment
- Proficient in MS Office and a high aptitude for HR systems
- Ability to allocate one’s time effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals
- Good organizational skill, flexible, able to multiple tasks
