Overview
Founded over 90 years ago, our client is a well-established non-profit organization in Alberta. With current accounting staff assisting with a software implementation, our client is looking for a Consultant, Financial Reporting who will report directly to the Assistant Director, Finance & Reporting. This is expected to be a 3-4 month contract. This role can be done primarily remote.
Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting
- Annual financial statement preparation/close (external financial statements and advanced education statements for consolidation)
- Dealing with external auditors
- Some day-to-day operations accounting
Requirements:
- CPA designation
- 3+ years of post designation experienced
- Experience with both public practice and industry preferred
- Experience with Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards including deferred contributions
- Financial reporting and financial statement preparation
