Overview

Our client is a mid-sized public oil & gas company based in Calgary.  Currently there is a need to add an Accounts Payable Accountant to the team. This role reports to the AP Supervisor.  

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will work collaboratively with outside vendors and other departments within the organization to effectively utilize Open Ticket / Open Invoice in invoicing and ticketing procedures, while also contributing in ongoing efforts towards continuous improvement in the accounting department.  Specific responsibilities include:

• Onboard new vendors in OpenTicket and OpenInvoice
• Respond to vendor queries
• Verify tickets in OpenTicket and
  • Ensure coding to correct downhole location or surface facility cost center
  • Apply major/minor per chart of accounts
  • Confirm that amounts submitted match attached ticket
  • Forward to field for approval
• Review and code invoices for appropriate approvals and documentation in OpenInvoice
• Record manual invoices in accounting system Pandell JV4
• Provide ad-hoc reporting, work on process improvements, and assist with assigned special projects

Requirements:

• 2–15 years applicable oil and gas accounts payable work experience
• Experience with Enverus OpenTicket and OpenInvoice  
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
