Senior/Supervisor/Manager, Treasury and Credit

Oil & Gas Midstream


Our client is a growing Calgary-based midstream oil & gas infrastructure company that acquires, builds and operates mostly gas plants and associated gathering systems, pipelines and batteries. Their customers are typically oil and gas upstream producers. It has a solid track record of year-over-year dividend increases while maintaining a conservative payout ratio (<50%) and balance sheet (<2x funded debt to EBITDA).

This hire is due to growth. Company staff has almost doubled in the last 12 months.      


Reporting to the Controller and/or Treasurer, you will be the hands-on prime, responsible for the overall cash and credit management of the company, including monitoring, managing and minimizing risk exposure of the organization’s treasury and credit activities.

  • Oversight of daily cash management functions;
  • Cash forecasting and balance reporting;
  • Potentially supervise accounts payable team;
  • Review of weekly payment runs;
  • Compliance calculations and reporting for external debt;
  • Administration of 3rd party banking interfaces including opening/closing accounts, Pcard programs and electronic payment interfaces and associated documentation;
  • Assess foreign exchange risk and ensure exposures are appropriately captured through reporting and financial statement presentation;
  • Maintain and reconcile records associated with all collateral support provided by the company to third parties, and collateral provided to the company related to counter party risk;
  • Assist Manager, Corporate Planning in credit reporting and review process;
  • Help ensure the review and manage company processes, procedures and control environment;
  • Review & support indirect tax filings (GST, PST, etc);
  • Oversee financial transactions including payment of dividends, debt instruments and interest;
  • Draft, maintain and oversee corporate treasury policies around internal control and cyber security of payment systems and processes;
  • Manage treasury related RFPs;
  • Maintain strong relationships with external banking and consulting partners;
  • Maintain a master approved vendor list for Canada and the US;
  • Provide data analysis support and other duties as required.


  • Minimum 7 years work experience including mid-large corporate treasury and credit experience
  • Experience with Canadian and US: banking and relationships, credit review, policy roll-out, borrowing and covenant review, cash flow forecasting
  • Relevant university degree
  • Leadership and staff supervision skills
  • O&G industry experience, and accounting or treasury designation, nice to have
